Accessorize your 12.9-inch iPad Pro!

Apple has introduced a brand new iPad Pro, including a redesigned 12.9-inch model that shrinks down everything about the device except the display. It's shorter, thinner, and shallower, and now packs USB-C instead of Lightning. All of this means that there are some brand new accessories to think about, and here are some of the best you can order right now.

The keyboard to get

Apple Smart Keyboard Folio

Staff Favorite

Apple's official keyboard case for the new iPad Pro, the Smart Keyboard Folio protects both the front and the back of your iPad and features two viewing angles, one for desktop use, and one for laptop.

The essential stylus

Apple Pencil (Second generation)

If you're planning on doing any drawing, sketching, or handwriting, then you're going to want the new Apple Pencil to go along with your new iPad Pro. It's the very best stylus for the task on the market, no question about it.

Under cover

Apple Smart Folio

If you don't need a keyboard, but still want to keep your new iPad Pro safe, check out Apple's official Smart Folio, which protects both the front and back of your tablet. It comes in both Charcoal Gray and White.

Charge and go

Anker USB-C to Lightning cable

One of the neat little tricks of the iPad Pro is its ability to charge your iPhone on its own using a USB-C to Lightning cable. This USB-C to Lightning cable from Anker allows just that at a lower price than Apple's official cable.

Standing up

Twelve South Compass Pro

Twelve South's Compass Pro lets you extend the back leg to use the iPad as a hands-free display, or shorten it for a better angle for more productive tasks. It also features a secondary back leg, letting you re-angle the iPad for easier drawing or touchscreen typing.

Basic protection

JETtech Sleeve

If you're just looking for something basic to protect your iPad Pro, JETtech's laptop sleeve is actually a great option. Affordable and big enough to house both your iPad and, say an Apple Pencil, the sleeve is also roomy enough to hold your iPad Pro while it's attached to a Smart Keyboard Folio.

Your iPad's leather jacket

Pad & Quill Valet Leather Bag

Available in Chestnut, Chocolate, and Galloper Black, this leather bag from Pad & Quill will protect the body of your iPad Pro, with a second pocket available other important items. Great for a little extra protection on the go.

Next-level AirPods

Apple AirPods Pro

Apple's AirPods Pro are the best version of Apple's wireless earphones so far. They're still dead simple to pair and switch between devices, and these add excellent noise cancellation to the mix.

Over-ear silence

Sony WH1000MX3

The quality of these headphones is the exact inverse of their truly awful name, and this great Sony over-ear set are a step up from the AirPods Pro if you don't mind larger heaphones and want top-flight sound quality and noise cancelation.

Our suggestions

When looking for accessories for your new iPad Pro, you should definitely start with these. If I had to pick one to get, I'd go with Apple's Smart Folio Keyboard, because I use my iPad Pro for a lot of my writing. If drawing or handwriting are more important priorities, definitely pick up the Apple Pencil.

If I was getting anything else for my iPad Pro, I'd definitely take a look at AirPods Pro as my audio accessory of choice. They're small, comfortable, have excellent sound, and feature noise cancelation so that you can enjoy your music, podcasts, and audiobooks without issues no matter where you go.
