Head over to Costco and get the 2nd-gen Apple AirPods with a wired charging case on sale for just $99.99. That's a Black Friday price for sure because these AirPods only dropped to $115 for Amazon's Prime Day. They have been selling for around $130 there since September, but you can also find them going for as high as $160 in some places like Best Buy. The only real caveat to this deal is that like with most Costco deals, you'll need to be a member to avoid a surcharge. The Airpods do come with free shipping.
Compared to the first generation of AirPods, these true wireless earbuds improve in a lot of ways. You get the upgraded H1 chip inside instead of the W1 chip, which means you get super easy pairing that also enables other features like having your SMS messages read to you. They support Siri, too, so you can call on the Apple voice assistant with a simple "Hey Siri" and change the song that's playing, adjust the volume, make calls, or get directions. You can also just double tap the earbuds to skip the current song.
One earbud will last you for about five hours of playtime, or three hours of talk time, on a single charge. They come with the charging case, though, and the case is capable of recharging your earbuds multiple times over to give you a total of over 24 hours of playtime before you ever need to plug in. Unfortunately on this version the charging case has to be charged with a wired Lightning cable and can't charge wirelessly, but you're saving a lot compared to the wireless charging version, which is currently $160 on Amazon. Those earbuds have never dropped anywhere near as low as today's deal and $160 is already a good low for them.
If you want a different set of AirPods, be sure to keep an eye out on all of Apple's Black Friday deals and look for Black Friday sales from other retailers as November marches on.
