As reported by MacRumors, Apple has expanded its Apple Maps "Look Around" feature to the city of Atlanta, Georgia. According to the report, today's update marks the 14th update to the feature since it was launched back in 2019.
Those who want to explore Atlanta, Georgia without having to be there can now use the feature to navigate around the city in 3D. The feature will also pop up interactive locations so you see a restaurant while looking around and, upon tapping it, bring up the Apple Maps card for that location.
The feature is now live in more than twenty cities across the world.
Look Around was initially introduced in iOS 13, and it offers 3D street-level imagery much like Google's Street View. At launch, Look Around was limited to just a handful of cities, but Apple has been expanding it since then and it is now an option in more than 20 cities and regions worldwide.
Apple has a list of the places where Look Around is supported on its website, with availability in cities that include New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Detroit, Chicago, San Diego, Portland, Denver, Phoenix, London, Tokyo, Dublin, and more.
"Look Around" isn't the only addition to Apple Maps lately. Back in February, the company added the ability to report accident and hazards within the app or with Siri while you are navigating. It also rolled out its speed camera feature to users in a number of countries back in March.
